H Pylori Update:
Since my last post, I have gone through a 60-day treatment for h pylori bacteria. I am getting ready to take the re-test for that to ensure it is gone. If it's not, I'll be doing that treatment for a little longer. If it is gone, YAY! I'm moving one step closer to normal.
It did not take long at all to start feeling a lot better once I started the mastic gum supplements. I had 4 capsules (2 Pylori Plex and 2 Deglycyrrhizinated Licorice Root) per meal for 60 days. I have far less bloating and stomach gurgling, hardly any heartburn at all, and with the combination of mastic gum and a liver support supplement, my acne on my back and forehead cleared up within a couple weeks. It is very evident that my liver was having trouble keeping up with all the toxins that were trying to exit my body. Thankfully, taking my chiropractor's suggestion to add the Liver Support supplement was a smart decision and was very helpful.
Candida Update:
I have now been given the green light to begin treating the Candida. I started this treatment this past Friday, January 16th. The route I have chosen is GX Assist by doTERRA for 10 days, followed by PB Assist by doTERRA for 5 days. I can repeat this process once a month for three months, as I see fit. There have been a few side effects (I'm assuming they are from this treatment) since starting this GX Assist - - heart palpitations and a little GI upset, and feeling a bit run down. However, from what I've read, the "feeling worse" part should subside pretty quick as I continue to push through the 10-day treatment. As the yeast starts to die off, they release their toxins, which make the host feel kinda cruddy for a bit. The GX Assist contains caprylic acid, as well as Lemongrass, Oregano, Melaleuca, Lemon, Peppermint, and Thyme essential oils. I am amazed at doTERRA's essential oils and amazing products, and am proud to use these to treat my ailments.
Adrenal Fatigue Update:
There continues to be light at the end of the tunnel, including a possible end in sight to the adrenal fatigue program I have been on with the drops/vitamins/limited diet regimen. I am at the 8-month mark of this program, and the initial goal was to be on it for 6-12 months. After speaking with my chiropractor, we have agreed that I will finish out the current bottles of drops I am using, and then do a saliva re-test to determine where my cortisol numbers are at now. Those results will then determine if I will continue on the drops regimen awhile longer, or if I can go off them and figure out my new normal with diet, exercise, and supplements.
This is all very exciting! It's not over yet, but I definitely feel like we're nearly there.
My God has gotten me through a lot of low times throughout these past 4-1/2 years. He continues to prove Himself faithful in my life, and I am thankful for Him and that He never leaves me to go at it alone.
